CHATEAU RIGAUD WEDDING VIDEOGRAOPHER // FRANCE
How would you or your friends describe yourselves as a couple?
Well-suited and happy. Down to earth. Funny in a funny little way.
You guys?.… What do you do?.. .. What’s important in life?
Ishan works with his father running a global pharmaceuticals company. Sophie sold her hospitality business a few months ago and has returned to her roots in writing since then. Our family and friends are very important in life. We like to travel and have new experiences together. We love to ski together, although Sophie is more nervous on the slopes than Ishan. Playing sport, especially football, is very important to Ishan. Sophie likes running and yoga and loves reading and whales.
Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
So we can look back on it for many years to come and see/ be reminded of the joy of the day - hopefully seeing lots of happy people who are pleased to be there! We’re sure the day will fly by for both of us, so it will be great to have the video as a memory and also to be able to see all the bits of the day that we may not experience first hand.
The Venue? … Why did you choose this place above anywhere else?
We wanted to go abroad so it felt like a little holiday for all our friends and family and they’d hopefully be more relaxed. France seemed like a good choice for those who would want to drive. Sophie visited Bordeaux with both of our mothers soon after our engagement and we chose Rigaud for a number of reasons: They seemed extremely organised with great attention to detail (Sophie owned a hospitality business for a long time so knew how important organisation is!), the rooms and grounds were absolutely beautiful, and Bordeaux itself just had this relaxed, magical atmosphere (and was very clean!) which we all loved. We also heard overwhelmingly positive things about the food at Rigaud, which was very important to us as we love our food.
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
We want them to have a really fun, but very relaxed time. To feel like they’ve had a really happy mini holiday where they’ve had lots of laughs, chatted to lots of amazing people, eaten loads of delicious food, had as much to drink as they wanted to, and been surrounded by love and smiles all weekend. We would like them to feel sad to leave!
